www.talentformula.co) is a consulting firm that provides outsourced financial and accounting human resources to Chartered Accounting firms worldwide. We have been asked to source staff on behalf of PKF Little John. We currently have an Accounts Preparer position available in the team.
Role Overview
‘Variety' best describes the work of this team. You could be involved in the preparation of financial statements of any organization from owner-managed businesses, sole traders, partnerships or large UK groups. The industries our clients operate in include property, retail, financial services, consultancy, technology and many others.
With every account’s preparation assignment, you'll gain a deeper insight into how financial statements are put together and get involved with more complex work. As your experience grows, so will your
Key Responsibilities
· Undertake the year-end financial statements as allocated by the manager
· For each assignment, produce a file and a set of financial statements, to a high standard for manager review
· Keep the manager informed about progress
· Complete the work within budget
· Adopt high professional standards with a business-like approach to work
· Develop a comprehensive working knowledge of double entry bookkeeping
· Develop a basic knowledge of current accounting standards
· Pass relevant professional examinations first time
· Be able to advise on basic accounting issues
· Be aware of Institute and internal ethical guidelines
· To accept responsibility for all work performed and to follow up to ensure completion
· Willing to accept feedback/development points and action it
Skills & Competencies
· Any commerce or finance background
· Experienced user of CaseWare (Accounts Production) is preferred but not essential
· UK GAAP Experience is a good to have
· Excellent level of English Language (spoken & written)
· Minimum 3+ years of work experience in accounting
